HOW APEC CAN HELP YOU
Quality Management Training Opportunities
The main barrier in lack of Quality System implementation is lack of knowledge. Thanks to interaction between PTN Members, we are able to encourage international exchange of information between economies that have already implemented GMP Procedures and economies that are aspiring to do so.

4 th APEC Blood Safety Policy Forum and Quality Workshop
The Ministry of Health of Indonesia and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Life Sciences Innovation Forum (LSIF) Blood Safety Network will co-host the APEC Blood Safety Network Quality Workshop and the 4th APEC Blood Safety Policy Forum “Towards High-Performing Blood Systems” from 11-14 December 2017 at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since the launch of the APEC Blood Supply Chain Roadmap in 2014, APEC economies have taken persistent steps towards formalizing blood safety policies and regulatory frameworks. It is the goal of the policy Forum and workshop to share across economies the keys to successfully developing and implementing policies and regulatory frameworks for safe blood and to identify actionable steps to help APEC economies work towards high-performing blood systems. The policy forum and workshop will convene leaders in government, professional and medical societies, academia, international organizations, and the private sector. The presentations, discussions, and ideas generated at the meetings will inform the development of additional tools and resources to support APEC members in achieving their own blood safety goals and to ultimately improve health and economic outcomes.
